With British Council accreditation and nearly 20 years experience in providing summer programmes in English for young learners, EAC provides a first class educational programme, paired with a fun and culturally diverse activity and social programme.

EAC are currently recruiting for DOS’s from June 2012 in the following locations:

• Ashford
• Buxton
• Edinburgh
• Stratford Upon Avon
• York

You will be directly responsible both to the Centre Manager for the smooth educational management of your centre, and to EAC’s Senior Academic Manager for the quality of educational delivery.

Duties/ Responsibilities

• Testing and placement of students.
• Timetabling.
• Teacher induction and day to day teacher support.
• Leading regular teachers’ meetings.
• Management of materials and other teaching resources.
• Administering Trinity exams.
• Lesson observations and teacher reports.
• Ensuring accurate records are maintained (registers, records of work done etc)
• Ensuring all reports and certificates are issued and completed.
• Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise over any aspect of the educational programme.
• Ensuring that the educational programme coordinates logically and smoothly with other aspects of the course such as excursions, local visits etc.
• Liaising with head office on staffing requirements.
• Teaching as standby whenever required.
• Assisting other senior managers in other general aspects of the centre management (whether directly related to the tuition programme or not)
• Assisting the Centre Manager as required and assuming the role of Centre Manager in his/her absence.
• Responsible for Teaching Syllabus

Salary: £450 p/w plus accommodation & full board *(£500 p/w if DELTA qualified)

Requirements

All applicants must meet industry standard required qualification levels and as a minimum hold the following:

Degree plus recognised qualification in EFL teaching such as CELTA/ Trinity TESOL or equivalent.

Applicants without a degree but who hold a relevant EFL teaching qualification and experience may be considered.

Applicants holding overseas EFL qualifications will be asked to provide details of course content/ syllabus for verification purposes.

All employees require access to a UK bank account.
